Our Infrastructure

Labs and Workshops

The Laboratories form an integral part of Technical & Management Education because it is, where students actually apply the theoretical knowledge gained in class. Therefore, the laboratories at CAS are equipped with the latest laboratory equipments. The labs are large and spacious, giving students ample room for project work. CAS has dedicated staff members who ensure that each student gets exposure on the lab floor. Workshops are also an important element of modern-day education because they give students an opportunity to create something with their own hands and understand exactly what it takes to make something work. The workshops at CAS have an excellent collection of tools and implements that could facilitate even intensive project work. In addition, CAS is procuring new tools and other equipments as and when necessary. The Institute is equipped with 2 computer labs with 35 dual core processor and more than 40 branded computers, 2 Servers, Laser printers, scanners, etc., to assist students for performing practical and projects. All latest licensed version of software including testing tools such as IBM rational pro are available in these labs.

Proposed Hostel

Separate hostels for boys and girls are under construction with a view to accommodate approximately 500 students, but for the time being, the institute is providing rented hostel in the vicinity of its location, preferably in safe and good locality. The hostel will have spacious rooms, hygienic toilets, common rooms with internet and telephonic facility shall also be provided for proper communication. The mess will run on cooperative basis with no profit system, and quality of food shall be taken care of by the management itself.

Library

The Institute has a well stocked library which has over 2,000 books, magazines and journals. The library is fully computerized and has an excellent reading room. It boasts of an adequate collection of International journals and CDROMs. The seminar hall of the library is well equipped with state-of-the art Over Head & LCD Projectors. The library is well-stocked with all the necessary volumes available at the students’ disposal. It is the synthesis of theories with working knowledge, together avenues to exploit all the available resources; we can mould our students into thorough professionals, who would become the leaders of their profession. The students continuously use the INTERNET for updating their database and satisfy the quest for knowledge. The library contains modern titles on such advanced topics as Information Technology, Multimedia, E-Commerce, Optical Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Satellite Communication, VLSI Design, Microwave Communication, Global Data Communication, Global Marketing, Logistics, Risk Analysis, Advanced Sampling Theory etc. Library can accommodate 100 students in its reading room.

Games, Sports & other Activities

To ensure the all round growth of the students apart from vigorous academic and curricular activities, the college is planning to inculcate the feeling of team work, companionship and expression of thought among the students. Sports and extra-curricular activities provide an individual the opportunity to excel. To fulfill this purpose, facilities for indoor sports like Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom Board, etc., are being involved. Outdoor sports, like cricket, football, hockey and volleyball are also being organised in the college ground. The college is also conducting several other activities like debates, quizzes, and planning to hold inter-college interactions and other events to ensure the overall personality development of the students. Apart from these, various important activities take place from time to time, like: CAS Annual Function held on its establishment day. Cultural meet on New Year Day (1st January). Annual Sports meet. Personality Development Programme Classes. Spoken English Classes (Compulsory) Industrial Visits, workshops, seminars. Campus/Of Campus Placement.

Health & Medical Facilities

The college has its own Medical Office to take care of the students emergency health hazards. The Specialist doctors visit our campus at a regular interval for routine medical check up of the students and staff members. Hospital facility is also available near the college campus.

Cafeteria/Canteen

The college has its own Cafeteria within the premises to provide meals, snacks, tea, coffee, etc., throughout the day. The area is designed with proper seating arrangements to create an ambience for relaxation and discussion along with its main objective.

Scholarship & Awards

Certificate of Merit and medals are being provided to the toppers of different courses in each semester. CAS Management has decided to uplift the weaker and oppressed sections of society and economically weak but brilliant students for the study under the following plans: • The first three top ranked students in Cas Entrance Examination (CEE) will get a branded Laptop from the CAS Management. • Scholarship shall be given to meritorious students scoring more than 85% every semester.
